• HydroThane™ is a family of thermoplastic polyurethane hydrogels. Each member of the family possesses specific water absorption characteristics. They are supplied as pellets.

 
• HydroThane™ thermoplastic hydrogels may be extruded and injection molded (when in a dehydrated state) using conventional polymer processing equipment.

 
• HydroThane™ hydrophilic polymers have water absorption capacities ranging from 5% to 25% with hardnesses of 80A to 93A. They exhibit a rapid water absorption rate and retention of mechanical properties when hydrated.
